We look forward to your first visit with us. We strive to have a welcoming and comfortable place for you and your child. We are here to answer any questions or alleviate any concerns before coming to your appointment.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Academy of Pediatrics recommend a first dental visit by age 1 year (this visit consists of a visual exam, caries risk assessment and parental preventive education)
For young and/or anxious patients, some parents find it helpful to read a book or watch a video about a first dental visit before coming (ie. Pepa Pig “Dentist Trip”, Daniel goes to the dentist). You may also drop by before your visit to introduce your child to the office, just give us a call.
At your child’s first visit to our office they will receive the following care:
- Comprehensive Exam including recommended treatment
- Prophylactic Cleaning
- Fluoride Application
- Diagnostic X-rays (if cooperation allows, usually starting around age 4)
- An individualized plan of preventive home care that includes blushing, flossing, diet, and remineralization/oral bacteria management instructions.
- A special gift for every visit to help that healthy smile shine.
